Yes, it's been too long since my last update. I'd planned to post about two or three times a week, but I haven't been able to primarily due to having restricted access to the computer. I'm sure I could figure out a way to post through my Wii, but it'd probably end up being more cumbersome than useful. Though being able to IM through the Wii is certainly handy (http://www.meebo.com if you're interested in trying it for yourself).
Quite a few things have happened since my last post. For one, Chen and I finished watching Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. To my surprise, I ended up really enjoying it, despite my [somewhat unfounded] hatred of mecha anime. I think once I started to equate Chen's obsession with giant robots to the way I am with guns, I began to understand his thought process much better. However, since I was left with such a pleasant taste by this show, I refuse to watch any additional mecha shows so to not upset its perfect batting average.
Also, Chen is in China at the moment. If anyone would like to fill his void by playing Street Fighter III and/or Capcom vs SNK 2 with me (since I literally have no other friends who play fighting games aside from Brawl), please don't hesitate to do so.
Second, The Goddamn Dark Knight. It's been a week since it's been out and I still can't get over how awesome it was. If you haven't seen it yet, go see it. And if you have, see it again. I went to the midnight show with the idiots and that certainly was fun, mainly since I once again donned my (admittedly) awful Batman costume. Which reminds me, I've made very little (if any) progress in my story, but I hope to change that in the next few weeks. But as for the movie, I could not find anything worth complaining about.
Honestly, this is one of those rare instances where a medium exceeds its massive amounts of hype. In fact, the movie is so perfect that I would prefer that there not be another sequel made. Of course, there most certainly will be due to the money it'll rake in and we'll end up with more movie messes along the lines of X3 and Spiderman 3.
Third, Musa is adorable. Expect a few pictures in the future. And his mother is demanding my presence, so I should about wrap this up.
Oh, and I'm thinking of having either a random factoid or a song to accompany each post from now on. This time I'll have both.
Random factoid: In Urdu, the words for "sandals," "slap" and "Asians" are all based on the root word which translates to "flat." Sandals have flat soles, slapping causes one's face to be flattened, and Asians have comparatively flat faces. Interesting, no?

I checked a website with common male Arabic names and decided upon "Kaleem" or "Hadi" for the future Peregrine Falcon I'm going to raise.
Thanks for the song! Will add it to my library in T minus 9...8...7...6...
I can't believe you haven't seen Gurren Lagann until now. But better later than never I suppose.
The goddamn BATMAN!
I have an interesting bit of trivia for you (copied from Dictionary.com):
The -oid suffix normally imparts the meaning "resembling, having the appearance of" to the words it attaches to. Thus the anthropoid apes are the apes that are most like humans (from Greek anthrÅpos, "human being"). In some words -oid has a slightly extended meaning—"having characteristics of, but not the same as," as in humanoid, a being that has human characteristics but is not really human. Similarly, factoid originally referred to a piece of information that appears to be reliable or accurate, as from being repeated so often that people assume it is true. The word still has this meaning in standard usage. Seventy-three percent of the Usage Panel accepts it in the sentence It would be easy to condemn the book as a concession to the television age, as a McLuhanish melange of pictures and factoids which give the illusion of learning without the substance. · Factoid has since developed a second meaning, that of a brief, somewhat interesting fact, that might better have been called a factette. The Panelists have less enthusiasm for this usage, however, perhaps because they believe it to be confusing. Only 43 percent of the panel accepts it in Each issue of the magazine begins with a list of factoids, like how many pounds of hamburger were consumed in Texas last month. Many Panelists prefer terms such as statistics, trivia, useless facts, and just plain facts in this sentence.
The ferrets are playing! I think Hasi's definitely lost weight. Unfortunately, it appears that Milo might be losing weight as well.
...I brought my laptop to China, you know. And my DS. Oh jeez, my DS.
E-mail me or somethin'.
